1. Core Functional Components & Working Principle
The WMS series sand mill integrates several advanced components to achieve its high performance:
Mechanical Seal: Features options for single-ended or double-ended cartridge mechanical seals, ensuring robust sealing and minimal leakage.
Dispersion Shaft Assembly: Equipped with specially designed dispersion discs, fixed securely via bushings, glands, spring washers, and screws. Correct rotational direction and pairing during assembly are crucial for achieving optimal dispersion results.
Grinding Barrel: The inner liner is constructed from special steel and features a two-end spiral cooling system, offering superior cooling efficiency over direct-flow designs. Its replaceable design means only the inner liner needs to be exchanged upon wear, restoring the unit to like-new condition.
Explosion-Proof Controller & Temperature Gauge: An explosion-proof (or standard) pressure controller is fitted at the inlet, adjustable to settings like −0.1MPa, to manage internal pressure. A temperature gauge at the outlet monitors discharge temperature. The pressure transmission utilizes a hydraulic system for accurate internal pressure indication.
Feeding Pump: Utilizes a pneumatic double diaphragm pump for fluid delivery. Optionally, an RBZ series inner arc gear pump can be fitted, known for its unique structure, low noise, minimal leakage, and excellent performance with viscous materials.
Machine Body: A stable, reliable, and compact steel-welded structure that houses and supports the main unit, feeding pump, barrel, and electrical cabinet. Adjustable anti-vibration pads ensure the entire machine is perfectly leveled.
Electrical System: Comprises main circuit control, auxiliary circuits, and indicator lighting for comprehensive operation management.
Control Program: Features automatic shutdown upon overload of the main motor or pump. The pump must be operational for the main motor to start, with a jog function available.
Working Principle: A pneumatic double diaphragm pump feeds a pre-dispersed and wetted solid/liquid mixture into the grinding barrel. High-speed rotating dispersion discs agitate this mixture with the grinding media, creating intense shear forces between solid particles and media. This process effectively grinds solid particles and disperses agglomerates. The ground material is then discharged via a dynamic separator.
